Role Overview

The Incharge – Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the hospital pharmacy to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant procurement, storage, dispensing, and distribution of medicines. The role involves maintaining optimal inventory and stock levels, monitoring expiry and batch-wise records, ensuring compliance with applicable pharmacy regulations, NABH standards, and hospital policies, and coordinating with doctors, nursing teams, and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations
  • Maintain accurate inventory, stock levels, expiry tracking, and batch-wise records.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Drug & Cosmetic Act, pharmacy regulations, NABH standards, and hospital policies.
  • Monitor procurement, receiving, storage, dispensing, and distribution of medicines.
  • Lead and monitor pharmacy staff, including duty allocation, performance, discipline, and training.
  • Coordinate closely with doctors, nursing teams, purchase, stores, finance, and administration.
  • Analyze pharmacy consumption, wastage, stock movement, and financial performance and submit regular reports to management.
  • Handle pharmacy-related complaints, incidents, and corrective/preventive actions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • B.Pharm /Diploma in Pharmacy with valid State Pharmacy Council Registration.
  • 8+ years of hospital pharmacy experience, with proven experience in independently managing pharmacy operations and leading a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
