Role Overview
The Radiographer is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations safely and accurately in accordance with physician instructions and established radiology protocols. The role involves operating X-ray and other radiology equipment, ensuring appropriate patient positioning and producing high-quality diagnostic images. The Radiographer is also responsible for maintaining radiation safety and infection-control standards, ensuring the proper functioning and routine care of imaging equipment, and maintaining accurate patient records and imaging documentation. The role requires effective coordination with radiologists, technicians, and other clinical teams to support timely and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations as per physician instructions.
- Operate X-ray and other radiology equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and infection-control procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Coordinate with radiologists, technicians, and clinical teams.
- Ensure proper functioning and routine care of radiology equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- B.Sc. Radiology / B.Sc. Medical Imaging Technology / Diploma in Radiology or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
